___________________________________________________________________ Hey Gang, After a weekend of INSANE sled traffic, we are still fighting "low snow" conditions. Trailmasters Ken Delano & Stuart Kelly state that we still have some snow to work with, however limited. With that being said, my report is as follows:::: ITS #83 ~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls,~~ Groomed with Fair/Good conditions. All roads will have good conditions, woods have fair conditions ~ with low snow. Riders need to realize that this trail this past weekend was probabally the most used trail in N. Maine!! ITS#81 ~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattamkeag Cutoff~~ Groomed, with good/ excellent conditions! MUNICIPAL TRAIL #70~~ BENEDICTA/WHETSTONE FALLS ~~~ CLOSED TO ALL SLED TRAFFIC DUE TO HEAVY LOGGING!!!! VIOLATORS MAY BE WRITTEN UP & FINED FOR USEING THIS TRAIL!! STAY AWAY!! All Snowgang club trails are groomed, with good/excellent conditions! **** SPECIAL NOTE:: Please be aware of our 4 legged freinds using all trails to get around! GIVE THEM TO RIGHT OF WAY , THEY WERE HERE 1ST!!!
P.S~~.Riders need to be aware of ice in all corners on every trail!! P.SS ~~ Check with your "locals" before going on lakes & ponds!!
___________________________________________________________________ Hey Gang, Writing this report after speaking with Trail master Stuart Kelly about overall conditions on the trails as he sees them, and from what has been reported to him. My report is as follows::: ITS#83 ~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls,~~ Groomed, with good/excellent conditions. ITS#81 ~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattawamkeag Cutoff ~~ Groomed, with excellent conditions. Municipal Trail #70 ~~ Benedicta/Whetstone Falls ~~~ THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! RIDERS ARE URGED NOT TO USE THIS TRAIL AS SIGNS ARE POSTED AND VIOLATORS MAY BE WRITTEN UP!! All clubs trails are groomed at this time with good/excellent conditions. *** Special Note::: Deer, moose & turkeys (the ones with wings) being seen using ALL trails at this time. Give them the right-of-way, THEY WERE HERE FIRST!! *** Special note::: With warmer temps in place, ice conditions on lakes, ponds and rivers will be changing by the hour! My advice is to check with "locals" before going on them! One final note::: SLOW DOWN, especially in the corners, as icy conditions exist on ALL trails. Ride safe, and to the right!

Riders need to use prudent speed, and please be aware of icy conditions in the corners. With that being said, my report is as follows: ITS# 83~~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls~~ Groomed, with good/excellent conditions. ITS# 81~~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattawamkeag Cutoff ~~ Groomed, with excellent conditions. MUNICIPAL TRAIL#70 ~~~ BENEDICTA/WHETSTONE FALLS~~~ CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. "NO RIDING" SIGNS IN PLACE. VIOLATORS CAN BE WRITTEN UP & FINED!!!! All Snowgang club trails are groomed, with good/excellent conditions. ***** Special Note::: Our 4 legged friends are using ALL trails to get around. Please give them the right-of way THEY WERE HERE 1ST!!!!!!!!! ***** Special Note::: Lakes and ponds have good ice conditions, but be aware of drifted snow and pressure ridges that may exist. ___________________________________________________________________ Hey Gang, With temps moderating over the next 24 hrs (into the 40's) we may take another small hit on all trails as we have "low snow" conditions to deal with. Trail master Ken Delano tells me that all Snowgang trails have been groomed, but some areas are almost to bare ground due to the rising temps. All graveled roads should be good, but wooded trails and open fields have marginal cover. With all this in mind, my report is as follows::: ITS# 81 ~~ Sherman, Benedicta, Mattawamkeag Cutoff ~~ groomed to good/excellent conditions!! ITS# 83 ~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls ~~groomed, with good conditions. Some wooded areas may be a little "boney"!! Municipal Trail# 70~~ Benedicta/Whetstone ~~ CLOSED TO ALL SLED TRAFFIC DUE TO HEAVY LOGGING!!!!!!! "NO SNOWMOBILING" SIGNS ARE IN PLACE, SO VIOLATORS MAY BE WRITTEN UP IF CAUGHT ON THIS TRAIL! MY ADVICE:: DON'T RISK IT!! All Snowgang trails are groomed, with good conditions. *** All riders need to slow down in the corners as icy conditions exist on ALL trails!! *** Ponds and lakes will have "slush conditions" existing as the temps. warm up, Please check with your "locals" on the conditions of each body of water!! *** Finally, our 2 & 4 legged friends, (have a report of turkeys ~ 2 legged variety) on the trails! Any one of these can ruin your whole day if you hit one!! My advice~~~~~ SLOW DOWN & ENJOY YOUR RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your weekend, make it a GREAT one!!

With that being said my report is as follows:: ITS#83~~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls, Groomed, with good/excellent conditions. ITS#81~~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattawamkeag Cutoff ~~~ Groomed, with excellent conditions. Municipal Trail# 70 ~~~ Benedicta/Whetstone Falls. THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO HEAVY LOGGING. "CLOSED" SIGNS ARE IN PLACE MAKING IT A CHARGEABLE OFFENSE IF U ARE CAUGHT RIDING ON PLOWED ROADS ON THIS TRAIL. USE YOUR HEAD~~ STAY OFF THIS TRAIL!!!!!!!! All Snowgang club trails are groomed with good conditions!! *** Lots of 4 legged friends (deer, moose, ect) using all Snowgang trails to get around. Remember, they were here first ~~ give they the right of way!! *** Ice conditions on all ponds & lakes are improving, but check with your "locals" for pressure ridges and "slush" conditions!!!!! *** Riders need to remember that "low snow" conditions exist at this time, so all corners in the trail will have ice buildup to deal with. Please stay as far right as possible and slow down to avoid a collision in a corner.

After speaking with Snowgang Trail master Ken Delano, my report is as follows:: ITS# 83 ~~ Sherman/Whetstone Falls, Groomed with good/excellent conditions. ITS# 81 ~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattawamkeag Cutoff, Groomed with excellent conditions. Municipal Trail #70 ~~ Benedicta/Whetstone Falls:::: THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE BECAUSE OF HEAVY LOGGING!! All sledders who chose to ride this trail, are riding at your own risk. Liability will be a factor if you have an accident on this trail, as it is CLOSED to all sled traffic. Signs ARE in place to make this known, that this trail is closed!!!!!!!!!!!! My advice::: STAY OFF THIS TRAIL!!!! **** All Snowgang club trails will be groomed as time allows!! ****** Riders need to be aware of icy conditions in all corners as LOW SNOW conditions are in place on all trails. SLOW DOWN!!! Also, be aware that our 4 legged friends are using ALL trails to get around at this time. Remember to give them the right of way ~ THEY WERE HERE FIRST!! If u hit one of these guys IT WILL RUIN YOUR DAY~~ AND PUT A DENT IN YOUR WALLET!!! Please use caution on any waterway as ice amounts vary in different areas. Contact your "locals" before going on any ice!!! So, for the weekend SLOW DOWN, enjoy our trails and have a good ride!! BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
___________________________________________________________________ Hey Gang, With 5-6" of new snow and some sleet & rain on top of it, the Snowgang groomer operators have reestablished our trails as of this date. With "low snow" conditions still the norm for now after speaking with groomer operator Paul Albert, my report is as follows::::: ITS# 81 ~~~ Sherman/Benedicta/Mattawamkeag Cutoff ~~ Groomed, with good conditions! ITS# 83 ~~~ Sherman/ Whetstone Falls ~~ Groomed, with excellent conditions! Municipal Trail #70 ~~ Benedicta/Whetstone Falls ~~ THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON DUE TO HEAVY LOGGING!!! All club trails will be groomed on Tue. Jan. 31st ~~ good conditions expected. Paul reports that snow depth is good in some areas and poor in others so operators need to pay attention at all times as conditions and hazards can change in a heartbeat. Conditions on lakes and ponds seem to be improving on a daily basis, but riders are urged to check with "locals" on conditions before venturing out there!! Remember that as good as a trail looks after it is groomed, right now that there are icy conditions that exist, especially in the corners! Slow down & ride the the right at all times. SNOW DANCE PLEASE!!
P.S ~~ 4 legged friends using ALL trails at this time. Slow down and watch for them!! (Check the side of the trails for TRACKS!) Remember~~~~ if u hit one, he or she, WILL ruin your day, (and your wallet!!!!!!)
___________________________________________________________________ Hey Gang, With a hard rain (over 1") and heavy fog on Wed. the Snowgang Trail system really took a hard hit. All trails will be "RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK", and all grooming will be suspended until such time as sufficient snow makes it possible to reestablish our trails. Have a possibility of some snow on Fri. with snow showers in the forecast every day. Will try to update daily on all trail conditions. If you do venture out, use extreme caution at all times, and make sure someone knows where you are going. Also, DON'T RIDE ALONE as there are too many hazards on the trails at this time.
